• If you have any involvement in the podcast industry you must attend The New Media Summit. I rarely promote events, but I am in this case because I thought it was such an engaging experience and I met so many incredible podcasters.

  • Listen to Alison, as a guest, on these great podcasts

One of the many reasons we start our businesses is to get the freedom we want to build a life and a lifestyle that brings us joy. Yet, building that foundation can be a challenge and we often come face to face with our own emotional crap.

In this episode, Alison Donaghey talks about her journey and the type of thinking that can hold female entrepreneurs back.

This week we are talking with Alison Donaghey. Alison is a Radio Host of The Alison Donaghey Show, Author of an international best-selling book Think Opposite: Using the Domino Effect to Change Your Business, Change the World, Speaker, and a Cause and Effect Strategist and will expand your mind in ways you didn’t think possible. Stay tuned to the end of our episode to get a coupon code for her new #MyPart course. Alison reflects on what it was like to be a single mom at the age of 20, choosing to live in a freedom state rather than as a victim, and the importance of self worth.

Are you aware of the consequences of your thoughts?

There is a double-edged sword to everything, so every movement that we are involved with has a positive and a negative. We have to be careful which side we attach ourselves to.

When we understand our worthiness, then we can actually stop being a victim.

I never thought a speech I gave would
    change my life.

In January 2018 I gave a speech called
#MyPart, where I talked about when I was raped in high school and it wasn’t
until I understood how I co-created (#MyPart) the experience, without
shame or guilt and most certainly without approving his behaviour,
that I was able to stop being his victim.

Alison Donaghey is a Radio Host of The Alison Donaghey Show, Author of an international best-selling book Think Opposite: Using the Domino Effect to Change Your Business, Change the World, Speaker, and a Cause and Effect Strategist and will expand your mind in ways you didn’t think possible.

Have you considered the outcome before you take the leap? Truly thought about the cause and effect of your actions not just one step ahead but many? How your part in an action impacts you and others around you? How your experiences determine the paths you take?

Live at The Cultch on the theme of Curiosity. After Alison spoke at My Story Mondays someone reached out to her and shared his story on her radio show. At some point during the conversation she realized that she had bought into beliefs about men and women. “I had not been holding men in high regard because of the beliefs I adopted without my permission. I got mad and then curious.”

Alison Donaghey sharing on moving from victim space to freedom space.

Her latest project is #MyPart. Accepting our part in every single situation we find ourselves in which brings us to a place of true empowerment with the goal to see ourselves as part of humanity as a whole rather than dividing it into victims and victimizers, oppressed and oppressor thus moving towards understanding the inherent value of everyone.

Curiosity asks us to put aside our opinions, beliefs and judgements and to open ourselves to experience something new, something different, something that might spark something within you.

Alison Donaghey is a speaker, author, radio host and cause and effect strategist. She would like to see people taking an opportunity to ‘Think Opposite’, to suspend their belief, consider the opposite and proceed with perspective. In doing so, we can begin to see, that men and women are both parts of the human race. Experiences, good and bad, are an opportunity for unity.

Welcome to Adventuring The Girl Life! This week we will be talking with Alison Donaghey on taking responsibility for out our lives. #mypart is Alison’s initiative. It helps us all to be responsible for the part that we play in every situation and how we can use those situations to our advantage in our everyday lives.

Alison Donaghey was a single mom on welfare when she met a guy who relapsed into drug addition. After they moved in together, his addition to drugs and alcohol resurfaced and he died 6 years later.

She was on welfare and didn’t know what to do so she started her own house painting business. She now has a great life, her son is taking over the business and she has another business called "Domino Thinking" where she challenges people to think about what they think about.

Her latest project is #mypart. Accepting our part in every single situation we find ourselves in which brings us to a place of true empowerment with the goal tosee ourselves as part of humanity as a whole rather than dividing it into victims and victimizers, oppressed and oppressor thus moving towards understanding the inherent value of everyone.

Who can truly be called a victim? Allison Donaghey lends her expertise on cause and effect scenarios that often have people asking "Who is the victim ?" given by your host Jacqui Oh.

At first listen, it may not sound like they are talking business, but there is no denying the Nice Guys (Doug Sandler and Strickland Bonner) know their audience. My latest project is #mypart and I believe true empowerment comes from accountability. When we understand and own that our life is an accumulation of our choices we can step into reclaiming our inherent self-worth rather than trying to find it externally. We get to stop being victims and start enjoying freedom.
