Wise words of an Uber Driver
I recently had the pleasure of riding in an Uber with a 75 year old man at the wheel. He changed my life, because he gave me something to think about.
The rain falls and lands on the earth. Some of it hits the rocks and runs off and some of it hits the soil and becomes one with the soil. The soil then uses the rain to feed the seeds that lie in it and a flower grows.
Not everyone is soil, some people are rocks. Those who are soil understand the importance of connection and nourishment. They absorb what is offered, take what is needed and define beauty.
The flower, that grew from the soil, doesn’t know it’s beautiful. It’s the beauty in you that sees it's beauty, but you can’t see it if you are a rock.
