All of Our Actions Are Choices
To do or not to do?
To speak or not to speak?
To be or not to be?
All are choices and even not making a choice is a choice.
I used to think there were times when we truly didn’t have choice. When I was living with a drug addict and had nowhere to go except maybe live on the streets I felt like I had no choices… The reality was I did have choices and they all kind of sucked. What I was missing though was the choice I had about my attitude, my outlook on life. If Viktor Frankl felt he had choices while in Auschwitz then I most certainly had choices. I just wasn’t looking hard enough.
